September 1, 2007 Mesa Photonics releases a new ultrafast laser pulse measurement system based on frequency resolved optical gating: FROG Scan
Mesa Photonics LLC has been providing quality ultrafast laser pulse measurement software since our founding in 2002. Knowing the exact shape and phase content of an ultrafast laser pulse is a requirement for using ultrafast laser systems to their fullest potential, but ultrashort laser pulse measurement hasn’t always been easy. It is our mission to make pulse measurement of ultrafast laser systems easy, consistent, and accurate. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is the seamless integration between pulse measurement software and pulse measurement hardware.
Company
Daniel J. Kane, Ph.D. is the CEO and founder of Mesa Photonics. He is a co-inventor of FROG, and the inventor of real-time FROG, the principal components generalized projections algorithm, and a myriad of other techniques and algorithms used in spectroscopy and imaging. He is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America.
Facts
FROG Scan is the most versatile pulse measurement system on the market today.
VideoFROG was the first commerically available real-time pulse measurement software (since 1999).
VideoFROG is the fastest real-time FROG software.
VideoFROG (Real-time pulse measurement) is protected by US patents 6,219,142, 7,130,052 and patents pending.
VideoFROG uses the Principal Components Generalized Projections Algorithm and its own proprietary technology to provide the fastest FROG retrievals.
Mesa Photonics has licensed the VideoFROG technology from Southwest Sciences, Inc. and will continue to provide support for VideoFROG ultrashort laser pulse measurement software.
