The Version 7 demo program provided here is a fully functional version of VideoFROG V7.0 except that it cannot retrieve live data from a frame grabber. Version 7 has a completely redesigned and highly intuitive user interface. Different parts of VideoFROG are represented by large, updating icons. A quick glance over the front panel can tell you everything you need to know about how your laser is running. Double click on one of the icons to access the feature of interest. Once activated, the feature runs at full speed.
The data used for the demo are from two included AVI movie files--one for the temporal camera and the other is for the spatial camera. The temporal movie file contains real data from a GRENOUILLE FROG device measuring the output of a pulse shaper. The shaper has placed a pi-phase jump in the spectrum of the pulse. As the movie progresses, the pi-phase shift is moved in wavelength across the pulse spectrum. You will certainly see some interesting FROG traces that VideoFROG can track flawlessly.
The spatial AVI movie is constructed and shows a tilting beam profile. Remember, this demo is really measuring the traces as it is reading them from the file. Also, it is running at the same speed a version with a frame grabber will run on your computer.
To run this demo we recommend a screen resolution of at least 1280 by 1024 with a color depth of at least 16 bits.
The demo is on our ftp site. Click here for the file. To install the demo, run the setup file and follow the prompts. The file size is approximately 26MB. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
