Manufacturing Day Event at Mesa Photonics

September 29, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

SEPTEMBER 29: You are invited!

This year marks the third annual celebration of Manufacturing Day in New Mexico, and we invite you to join us for a tour of our facility on Tuesday, September 29.

We are located at 1550 Pacheco St., Santa Fe. NM 87505.

What is Manufacturing Day?

It’s a spotlight on manufacturing. And on the 28,000 New Mexicans working in the manufacturing industry. Manufacturers like us across the country open their doors by hosting facility tours. The public attends; mayors, legislators and the governor attend. Visitors get to see designs turned into products and products repurposed into other products — the range of human industry. They leave with more knowledge and inspiration. They talk. They see media coverage. Students consider manufacturing careers. New Mexico business benefits.

Mesa Photonics manufactures test equipment for the laser industry that allows laser manufacturers and end users to verify correct operation of their lasers. The company also performs contract research in ultrafast laser applications and optical sensing methods including chemical sensing of different gases, such as greenhouse gases responsible for global warming, and soil gases that can impact agriculture. With sales representatives in Europe, Japan and China, Mesa Photonics sells to customers worldwide.

From 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Mesa Photonics will be hosting an open house that will include product and research project demonstrations. The minimum allowable age is 8.

Register here for a Manufacturing Day tour and get a behind-the-scenes look at their facility!
